Small adjustable English leather curb strap?

I ride in a hunter bridle and snaffle. My trainer suggested I get a leather curb strap. I ordered one and it’s HUGE! It’s rolled so I can’t add holes to make it smaller. Is there such a thing as a small or adjustable leather curb strap? I’m not finding much on the web that looks very nice.

You might have ended up with a lip strap that is used with a curb chain on a pelham or full bridle. Those are usually rolled so they fit through the curb chain link.

You’ll probably find them more in a western although I’ve seen them in English but this came up first.
