Will my P61 Surefire bulb burn out if I use 2 rechargeable RCR-123 batteries at 4.2Vs each?
Two 4.2 volt batteries, if connected in series, is 8.4 volts. The P61 bulb is designed for 6 volts. For every 10% increase in voltage over rating, you reduce bulb life by half. Your $25.00 bulb wouldn’t last very long.
