Hunting/ camping food ideas?

My hubby is going hunting alone in the mountains for 6 days. What should I pack for him to cook/eat? Simple yet delicious, doesn’t require much prep or dishes (he will have stove/ pans/ etc.)… Thanks for your help!

If he’s able to drive directly to the hunting cabin/lodge then you could give him all his favorite canned items (typically too heavy to back pack with because of the metal container and packed water).

If he is backpacking into the cabin/lodge then to keep it light I would suggest dehydrated/dried/powdered items like Ramen Noodles, soup packets, flaked mashed potatoes, foil packed tuna and chicken, powdered eggs, pancake mix, biscuit mix, etc…

While slightly expensive the dehydrated meals are very flavorful and nutritious ( I prefer the Mountain House brand of dehydrated meals to some of the others). These can be found at your local outfitters store or on-line at www.campmor.com .
