What kind of pack should I use at Philmont, internal or external frame?

I’m going to Philmont next summer and we are starting our shakedown hikes soon so I want to practice with the gear that I will be hiking with in New Mexico. And what specific packs would you recommend? Thanks!

Hot weather, external frame packs are best they get the weight up and off your back with breathable webbing. But as another said already getting harder to find. Supply and demand is what controls the market and the “looking cool” crowd prefers internal. I have both, an external frame Jansport and use a internal frame Gregory the most.
