Bass beat to light/LED?
Hi, I am looking for a way to convert the thumping bass beat of a song to some sort of electronic pulse to power an LED. I’ve scoured the internet for this, and haven’t found much. The closest to what I wanted, unfortunately, was sound/volume responsive, not specifically bass.
My goal is to DIY a suit for techno festivals and such, where the microphone on the circuit picks up just the bass, and switches on/off the El Wire or LED lights. So, it needs to be battery powered, and portable.
This may very well be an existing product, and I just can’t figure out how to google it correctly.
Any tips, pointers, suggestions are all appreciated.
Note, I’m decent with a soldering iron, and can follow schematics, but that’s about it.

I did just find that the item that powers the El Wire is called a driver, and they have sound/decibel sensitive ones. Now, if we can just find a bass-specific one….=D
