Average cost of rat spay and tumour removal?

What is the average cost of getting a pet rat spayed?
What is the average cost of getting a pet rat’s tumour removed?

I’m not quite sure how much spaying costs but the estimate the vet gave me for tumour removal was around $160-250. it would be around 250 if you get x-rays which most vets do for smaller animals. you could go to your vet and ask for an estimate and they should give you an acurate number. It would be closer to $160 without x-rays, the vet gave me an option whether to include those or not. Some vets remove the tumour and spay the rat right after. My vet thought that wouldn’t be a good idea for my rat because she has respitory problems and would be at a high risk of passing away during surgery. She also told me that since my rat was 2 and a half she was considered old for a rat and would be nearing death soon.

Because of the risks involved I decided I would not put her through the stress of surgery and let her live out the rest of her life. The tumour does not seem to bother her at all as she still acts normal
