What are some soft foods to bring on a picnic?

My stepdaughter had her wisdom teeth pulled yesterday morning Today, we’re going to a picnic/outdoor festival thing at dinner time. I want to bring food that won’t hurt her mouth too much.

Keep in mind that she won’t be able to chew anything, so even some soft foods like canned fruit or pasta salad won’t be appropriate. The best thing you can do is get a variety of food in cups, like applesauce, pudding, yogurt, jello, etc, which all come in little cups, and other people can enjoy them. There are also bigger containers of pudding and applesauce if a lot of people will want some. The other thing she can have is liquid food, like Yoplait smoothies or juice, anything that she can drink without a straw (so no really thick smoothies).

However, I strongly suggest you ask her if she really wants to go and make sure she knows that she can choose not to go. Some people recover faster than others, but when my wisdom teeth were out the first week was miserable for me. I was on a lot of vicodin and still in pain, and I would not have wanted to go out anywhere.
