I just bought a Blue Tang Underwater Kinetics dive knife and the blade says 420 ss instead of hydralloy. Fake?

I bought the knife from a reputable dive shop in Austin, TX and I walked out the door with the box and paperwork. The blade says 420ss instead of the “H” for hydralloy and the blade shape is different from anything I can find online or at Underwater Kinetics web page. Let me know if you think it’s fake and I should try to return it.

That doesn’t look like UK knife, but can be an older model that was discontinued.
At any rate 420ss isn’t much of a blade steel, but for diving knives rust resistance is the most important, and 420 stuff is more rust resistant than many others out there.
However, Hydralloy is virtually impervious to rust.
If I were you I’d return that knife and get the newer Hydralloy version. If anything, it’ll resist rusting better, especially if you dive in salt water.
