Need to know the difference between incadescent, halogen, and xenon bulbs?
Doing a new construction. Bathroom lighting issues. Are halogen and xenon bulbs good for makeup application or are they like flourescent light?
Incandescent is a heated tungsten element like most household bulbs and it releases much of the energy as heat. Halogen is a brand of incandescent lighting in which the gas causes the free tungsten molecules to collect on the element giving the element a much longer life. Xenon is a metallic gas which will give off white light like a fluorescent bulb which doesn’t release as much energy as heat like an incandescent does.
